The first palette by Carli Bybel has the perfect shades for fall yet you can wear them at any point, any season, and at any mood due to the beautiful selection of great colors of both shimmery and matte that will look stunning no matter the occasion.
Both the shimmery and matte ones are just as lovely, smooth, and looks fantastic alone, or together.
They’re well pigmented as you can tell from the last image, and that’s only after one swipe.
I love the semi-creamy formula, making it easy to apply and blend beautifully with other shades, giving the perfect smokey look if that is what you’re trying to achieve.
Whether you’re a professional MUA, or just getting started, anyone can work with the shadows and highlights. It’s a total must product that has to join your makeup collection, an amazing palette for an amazing price. Cannot wait to get my hands on the new palette.
I have no negative comments regarding the palette, I believe in it, and in Carli’s work behind it. Everyone involved did a phenomenal job bringing a product that in one way or another will suit anyone and everyone. The palette is also cruelty free – it has the leaping bunny symbol on the back, it’s vegan, paraben free, and allergy tested too. 10/10
An inspiring woman who colored outside the lines, and was a fashion rebellion that became an icon and legend that built an imperium. Her way of being and thinking made that she became a huge part of not only the fashion industry, that today still lives on, but also part of fashion history. Coco Chanel, born as Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel in 1883, delivered us ”the little black” and the perfume, ”Chanel No5”.
Her signature fragrance, Chanel No5, is an iconic product itself, besides a bestseller, also the first perfume to have a designer’s name on the label. A must have in your perfume collection, alongside with the skin care product bi-phase makeup remover. A great formula with blue micro-algae to give a clean, conditioned, and smooth surface. Perfect start for your skincare ritual.
”What do I wear in bed? Why, Chanel No. 5, of course.” – Marilyn Monroe
Tarte Lashes Mascara; A lengthening, curling, volumizing, and conditioning mascara that gives a dramatic look. Also being vegan and cruelty-free.
I did enjoy this mascara, it did make my lashes feel and look fuller, it didn’t clump, and separates. I, did, however, didn’t feel they made them that much longer, and it was rather difficult to remove by the end of the day. Besides that, I liked it. A plus also that it is paraben free, gluten free, and free from sodium lauryl sulfate. It’s a semi-long nylon bristles brush, I do however enjoy spiraled ones, but it worked just as good. 6.5/10
Cover Fix; A paraben and sulfates free full coverage formula.
A creamy foundation with SPF 30. Feels rather light on the face which is perfect for summer days when you don’t feel like wearing a lot of makeup, yet want too look fresh and radiate a flawless skin. It’s free from fragrance, parabens, gluten, and talc, perfect if you have sensitive skin or might have an allergy. They can be used to cover tattoos, I haven’t tried it myself so I cannot comment on it. Also, it’s said on Cover Fx’s website that their products are vegan and cruelty-free, I cannot though find the leaping bunny or pink bunny on the package which is the official cruelty-free symbol. It does though say on the package on the side that it is vegan and clinically tested, so we’ll have to take their word for it, with or without bunny symbols. 6/10
Urban Decay – De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray; A weightless setting spray that controls oil and deflects surface shine.
Absolute favorite. It definitely delivers and does what it claims. It mattifies your shiny skin and helps your makeup last longer. Feels light, no certain scent, and keeps the makeup from smudging, sliding, or even fading. It’s without parabens and sulfates, 10/10
Urban DecayB6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray; Absorbs oil, minimizes pores and reduces redness with Vitamin B6.
Just like their setting spray, it’s just an equally amazing product that has become a crucial part of my night routine.
After cleaning away the makeup, serum and eye cream have been added, I wait few minutes to let my face dry as I prepare some other things around my place and then just before bed I spray it all over my face.
The serum is to be used before any cream since it helps it to get up to 50% deeper, and since the skin recovers at night as it creates new cells, it absorbs all the vitamins, making your skin sing and chant ”thank you” as you blissfully land on a fluffy cloud and dream away as you get your beauty sleep. You wake up with a hydrated skin looking fresh and healthy, ready to tackle the new day with a fierce attitude. 10/10
Too Faced Hangover Refreshing Face Primer;A face primer that hydrates, smoothes, and brightens skin for a dewy, healthy looking finish that is also vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.
Besides its glorious coconut scent and keeping your makeup from fading, I found this primer rather difficult to spread it, not as smooth as I’d like it to be. However, that because of it, it’s non-sticky. The foundation does though blends smoothly after application, and my face does feel more hydrated though not shiny so that’s a plus. 5.5/10
E oil; Wonders for your skin and hair, you can pour a drop on your makeup brushes/blenders to smooth your foundation easier and give nourishment to your skin, or you can massage a little bit in after washing your face and before going to bed. If you want an effective way to make your brows and lashes grow longer, faster and stronger, massage a little on the line of your lashes every night and a little bit on your brows. You can also make your own serum by mixing E oil, castor oil, and coconut oil and it works just as good on your scalp as well!
These products were bought in Sephora during my Miami trip (hence the smushed package but the product is doing just fine), and the E oils aren’t from Sephora but from a store called Sally’s in Kendall – Miami.
NYX Angel Veil;a light formula to get an even and smooth surface as the perfect base, it creates a fresh, silky, and shine-free canvas for an extra lasting make-up that will look beautifully blended and will give a flawless look.
It is easy to spread, non-sticky, and doesn’t really have a specific scent. It’ll give you a velvet looking finish as you’ve been blessed by an angel itself.7.8/10
KIKO Mat Base Corrector; my favorite for an oil-free looking skin, it will give an even surface yet none glowing. It is however extremely mattifying, so for your skin to not get damagingly dry, I deeply recommend you use a moisturizer under before applying – especially if you use a mattifying foundation, it’ll end up looking rather cracked than smooth which is what we are trying to avoid. But as a mattifying product alone it’s fantastic though it’s gotten some bad reviews, it’s all about knowing how to use it, if you find the right combo between a face lotion, this primer, and foundation, then it’ll work great. Try different ones until you find the one and routine that works for you and your skin. But it definitely does what it’s supposed to. 6.5/10
Carmine (Karmin) is a red pigment also known as cochineal and E120, that can be found in everything from make-up, candy, painting, and sodas. Carmine gets its red color from carmine-acid that comes from drying and crushing lice, yes lice. Those little bugs that tends to crawl on your scalp and itch the living hell out you? Those exact ones.
Being vegan, to me the most important thing was that it wasn’t tested on beautiful fluffy creatures, nor contained anything from these animals. It never bothered me where the pigment/color actually came from, when it comes to make-up that is. I don’t mind wearing some insect/bug on my lips, may sound insane to some of you, and others may think like me.
But I sure as hell stay away from candy and surgery sodas, I may wear it, but I sure don’t want it inside my body, spreading itself through my entire system. It’s quite repulsing once you think about it, where humans get their ideas and methods to create these colors and everything in-between.
The colorful shield-lice are naturally from Central America, where they live on some cactus species. The red color obtained by lice is dried and ground to a powder.
Everything that is red, pink, and brown makeup on the shelves – such as blush, lipstick, nail polish, and eye shadow – may contain cochineal.
Two amazing beauty products that I strongly recommend for healthy and glowing skin! The first one is a face mist with rose water, herbs, and aloe. It hydrates and refreshes you while leaving a lovely scent, I carry it with me in my purse and spray my face throughout the day. It works perfectly alone, before make up, and even after as a setting spray. I use it at all times, after washing my face at night, and in the morning before getting ready.
The second one is the drying lotion that is literally sent from the heavens above, a little bottle with fairy dust. Without shaking it, you dip a cotton swap into the bottom and then dab gently on the whitehead and don’t rub it in, let it dry and keep it on over night and rinse off in the morning.
They’re both sold out on eleven but will be re-stocked. Face Mist & Drying lotion
At eleven.se is where I found them at a great price, I suggest you check every now and then until they’ve restocked it and order it there.
1. St. Tropez Plus, a gradual self-tan that also tones, firms & moisturise. One of my absolute favorites, the entire collection from St. Tropez is amazing and probably one of the best self-tan products out there. The benefits about PLUS is that besides giving you a sun-kissed glow you also get a tone and even finish. There is no awful scent and it moisturise at the same time so your skin will never dry out and always look fresh!
2. St. Tropez – Gradual Tan medium/dark. What I love about the gradual one is that you can choose whether you want a dark tan or just a nice looking summer glow. It all depends on how much you put on, and it doesn’t leave any marks or stains nor smell!
3. St. Tropez Prep & Maintain lotion. Besides collaborating with any of the gradual self-tans, it leaves the skin feeling velvety smooth and soft and helps the tan to look even and fade away evenly as well. A must under any self-tans.
4. Make Up Store – Facial mudmask. This one has changed my life! Sure I have thankfully never had any sort of skin problems, but every now and then I enjoy pampering myself with a home made spa and that is when this little gem comes in handy. I leave it on for around 20-30 minutes and then wash it off, leaving my face soft as a feather, cleansed and free from any types of skin dirt.
5. Make Up Store – Milk face scrub. This one is perfect for when you are about to use any self tanners on your face and body, it’s a mildly scrub that you rub in and it’ll get rid of dead skin cells that tends to ruin your even finish when using self-tanners. It gets into the depth of your pores and leaves your face feeling like a baby’s bottom!
6. Balmain silk perfume.
My MUST HAVE and favorite hair product! After straightening, curling or whatever do I’ve done, for the perfect finish I spray this precious heaven in a bottle on and it gives the hair an amazing fluff and glow and the bonus? The enticingly amazing scent!
So two days ago I went a little semi-nuts at NYX Cosmetics and went home like the happiest cookie to ever walk on the face of the Earth! My little bag contained two foundations in two different tones, a light concealer/highlight, a setting powder, and one highlight and contour palette + a beige/nude lip-pen!
What I adore about their make up is that it’s completely cruelty free, making me able to wear it without feeling bad, or knowing some little innocent and beautiful creature has been tortured for me to have and wear it.
Both my heart and soul can feel great and calmly knowing that no harm was necessary.
