The Protector (Review)

Director; Tosca Musk
Romance
2h 6 minutes
Now streaming on Passionflix.

Based on the novel by Jodi Ellen Malpas with the same name, Passionflix, an online streaming website that turns popular romance novels into movies and series decided to make the movie adaption of this book – as excited as I first was to finally see The Protector on the screen, and not just through the pages as I had done since I bought the novel, I must say, that excitement quickly faded away into thin air.

It was simply bad, gut-wrenching, and it hurt my eyes.
My soul was torn, my heart in pieces shattered on the floor, and in shock that the author even approved this – who in their right mind would sell out so easy on a work they’ve been working so hard on for someone else to ruin in 2 hours and 6 minutes?!

Everything was bad; the second-class acting, the poor script, the unpleasant visual, and worst? The painful sound that made my entire essence cringe. I pray to the every lord above that they don’t try to turn another of my favorite novels into movies or I will rip my eyeballs out, because one thing I cannot stand is directors, producers, and script creators slaughtering my lovable books that I read with passion, excitement, and so much enthusiasm – for them to crap all over it.

If you’ve read the novel, don’t dare watching the movie. 0/10
