Due to having signed an embargo stating that I couldn’t post a review until after a certain date and time, I had to wait before writing and sharing my thoughts on the latest installment of one of the history’s most beloved films, Star Wars.

I simply adore them, maybe not all of them equally, but the love and excitement to see every single one is always there. My heart simply chants songs of joy at just the mere thought of once again seeing the beautiful galaxies, the action-filled lightsaber battles, the troops, the wise words and life lesson by the precious Yoda, the cute-yet-impossible-to-understand Chewie, the cuteness of R2D2 and C3PO, the slight essence of romance, and the powerful hope and faith these movies possess.

In Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we welcome Rey, and here we once again get to follow her through the journey of finding more about herself and the powers within her, while also being part of the emotional roller coaster that is fighting the dark side, unlocking forces, and discovering more secrets from the past.

The vision still manages to blow me away, several years later. It still holds the beauty that the previous films had, if not even better thanks to today’s technology. The details are close to flawless, a blessing for sore eyes, reaching in and touching your very soul and inner child. An amazing cinematic experience that has to be seen in IMAX 3D. 6,8/10
