Hands down, the worst movie of 2018. I haven’t seen a film this fantastically awful in a long time, I enjoyed the previous ones but watching The First Purge was a waste of time from beginning to end.
The poor storyline, the dull plot that falls flat, and vision was just painful to witness. Pure embarrassment altogether.

As the title says, the film is pretty much about how it all came together, what made America start the actual purge that we got to follow through the previous movies. What led them to offer this outlet to inhabitants of the states and the answer was simple, anger.

I was quite excited for this film since the other ones had that delicate touch of the right amount of suspense, horror, and thrill. The story had you sitting on needles, you were gasping for air, wondering how it would turn out, and would the good ones make it through the horrid 24 hours…

Here, I was bored. I kept looking at the watch, praying to the movie lords for the film to come to an end. It doesn’t once, not even for a slight second grab you, capture, nor intrigue you. It doesn’t become interesting enough to grasp your attention. Nothing I’d ever recommend, stick with the ones you’ve seen and don’t even bother watching this. 1/10
