Slender Man (Press-screening review)

Director; Sylvain White
1h 33 minutes
Horror
Swedish premiere; August 10th

A total disgrace to horror films all around the globe. Categorizing Slender Man alongside classics it’s hands down just disrespectful, a movie that should be kept away from theaters all around the world, and I want my hour and a half minutes back after watching it because I have never insulted my vision with such awful script, dialogue, and visual.

Slender Man was something that sounded appealing to me, the idea of an terrorizing entity intrigued me, it always has.
I’ve always been drawn to the dark and bad, and just like IT, Slender Man went in particular after children.

In Massachusetts, we get to join the group of four friends who summons Slender Man one drunken and dark night, only to have brought upon themselves a curse that will follow them and slowly tear their spirit and mental state apart.

It was painfully dull, a movie that never seemed to come to an end, a poor dialogue that was weak and didn’t carry the plot whatsoever. A real disappointment. 1,5/10
